Colour of Research advocates for the inclusion of ethnic professionals in the market research industry.

 

Our aim is to provide guidance and encouragement while forging meaningful connections to enable growth and development.

 

Our mission is to transform the research industry so it truly represents POC with equity and equality.

Driven by a mutual desire to see more ethnic representation in our industry, like minded market research professionals of various ethnic backgrounds joined forces to co-found the CORe initiative.

TATENDA

Tatenda was one of the founding members of CORe and has over 10 years of experience in the market research industry. He started his career back in 2010 as a Project Manager and gradually made his way to lead his companies panel sales division. Since 2021, Tatenda role shifted from panel sales to expanding  audience and sampling proposition.

 

Tatenda is half Zimbabwean, half South African, and moved to the UK during his early teens. He still regularly travels back so he can enjoy the warmer African weather and big portions of meat.

CHARLENE

ADAMAH  

Charlene was one of the co-founders of CORe. She has almost 20 years of experience in the industry, starting off as a telephone interviewer, a quant project manager and in more recent years has moved over to Business Development and recruitment.

 

Charlene was born in Brixton, South London and is a proud Jamaican.

Steering Team: FRANKLIN

NYATSAMBO

Frank is a Technical Project Manager, currently working in Audience Measurement, and has experience in Quant, and Media Measurement. He began his career in the industry in 2018 and joined the CORe Steering Team in 2023.

​

Frank was born in Zimbabwe and came to the UK when he was 5 years old. Having grown up in a predominantly white neighbourhood Frank understands the importance of representation, identity and belonging. As a junior member of the team Frank wants to help foster change within the industry for the next generation of researchers.

ANNE

CUNLIFFE

Anne joined the CORe in February 2022 before becoming Co-Chair in December of the same year. Anne has worked in Market Research for almost 20 years, predominantly in Online Quant Operations departments. Anne is passionate about ensuring and working towards DE&I in the industry.

 

Anne was born in Newham, East London, but her heritage is from Kerala, in South India. She can fluently speak Malayalam, the language spoken in Kerala, but less skilful in reading in writing it!

IDEHEN

Graham has over 25 years within the industry and was one of the first in the industry to be recognised as one of the MRS' “Research Heroes”. He is a Co-founder of CORe and is also a long-standing member of the MRS Representation in Research Steering Committee.
 

Graham is a black male from South London and is keen to inspire change and to see others like him creating an impact at every level throughout the industry. He believes that CORe is vital for giving a voice to those who are generally underrepresented and for welcoming the next generation into the industry, from all walks of life.

RAJDEEP

CHANA

Raj has over 15 years of experience in market research. She brings a wealth of knowledge to CORe and has forged a lot of connections within the industry. Inspired by CORe's mission and values, Raj joined the team in 2021.

​

Raj is passionate about the mentorship program, where she connects mentors who want to give back to the industry with suitable mentees. As a Sikh woman from a South Asian background, Raj is proud to be part of CORe's initiative to empower and support people of colour, especially those who lack a strong support network in their workplace.

DANIEL

SINGHAM

Daniel joined CORe in August 2023 and represents CORe on the MRS DE&I Council. Daniel has worked in Market Research for over 18 years internationally having worked in Sydney, Beijing and London, predominately in Online Quant Operations and Commercial departments.

​

Daniel was born in Harrow, North West London, but his heritage is from Sri Lanka. Daniel is a strong advocate for diversity, equality and inclusion.

Sam

Creedon-Gray

Sam is the newest recruit in Market Research having joined the industry in July 2023, and joined CORe in February 2024. Sam, previously spent 12 years in Advertising, and has over 17 years’ experience in Sales.

 

Sam is Black American, White English and Irish, with an Italian extended family. This diverse perspective informs a passion for promoting inclusion. After navigating the dynamics of being a minority in the Golf and Motorcycle industries for nine years, Sam fostered diversity and inclusion initiatives with the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA). In Sam’s own words "My experiences have instilled a strong desire to share what I've learned and empower others to feel supported,"

 

Sam is excited to contribute to a more inclusive environment within Research.
